Astaldi Group boasts many years of experience in the sector and has built numerous impressive works worldwide including dams, hydroelectric plants, waterworks, oil pipelines, gas pipelines and treatment plants.
According to ENR (Engineering News Record) tables, Astaldi is the 18th contractor in the world in the water supply sector and holds the 4th position as regards waterworks.
Its most recent works include the Pont Ventoux  hydroelectric plant in Val di Susa which is built completely underground.
The Group has also been involved in the construction of civil works related to nuclear plants as in the case of the Brasimone PEC nuclear power plant in Italy.
This sector accounted for approximately 3% of the orders backlog at 31 December  2007 for a total EUR 237 million.
